Chiedozie's Story
Chiedozie holds a Masters degree in Sustainable Environment and Energy Systems from Middle East Technical University, Northern Cyprus Campus (METU NCC), through which he developed a systems-level understanding of energy transitions, renewable technologies, and environmental modelling. He also earned a Master’s in Financial Engineering, which enhanced his financial quantitative toolkit.
Over the course of five years, Chiedozie has devoted himself to pedagogy and mentorship: He served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for two years, and then as a Full-Time Teaching Assistant for three years, supporting undergraduate courses in Mathematics. Those roles sharpened his ability to explain complex ideas clearly, guide student inquiry, and bridge theory with practice.
In 2025, Chiedozie was selected to participate in the YOUNGO Climate Finance Academy, a flagship initiative of the YOUNGO Finance & Markets Working Group under the UNFCCC, which runs virtually to build capacity in climate finance, carbon markets, blended finance, and UNFCCC frameworks. His engagement there deepened his understanding of global climate finance systems and connected him with a network of emerging youth leaders committed to climate justice.
Chiedozie also contributed to the academic community through peer-reviewed conference publications. In particular, he co-authored works at the 12th International Conference on Electrical and Electronics Engineering (ICEEE), and at the TOK (Tasarım, Optimizasyon ve Kontrol / Design, Optimization and Control) Conference, where he explored themes intersecting system modelling, optimization, and control in energy or environmental contexts, respectively.
Chiedozie's academic and professional trajectory is driven by the conviction that robust quantitative methods and deep systems thinking are essential to shaping sustainable finance. Through the DREAM+PLAN P, he aims to refine his capacity to translate research insights into strategic action, mentoring, and policy-relevant innovation.
In regard to the DREAM+PLAN program, Chiedozie is excited about the opportunity to connect with a diverse community of scholars and world-class mentors who are working at the intersection of policy implementation, sustainability, finance, and technology. The program’s interdisciplinary nature will also provide a platform to bridge the gap between intensive academic research and real-world application.
