Giovanni's Story
Giovanni's work focuses on digital sustainability, social innovation, regenerative mobility, and energy transitions as common goods. As a researcher, he explored social initiatives as drivers of social-digital innovation at the University of Venice, having previously developed Criticity’s low-carbon digital platform that minimises the web related emissions while amplifying the communication impact of critical and urban initiatives. He has also co-organised the WDW Workshop and as a Communication design assistant professor at the University of Venice. His communication design practice fosters sustainable digital innovation through collaborations with public institutions such as Iuav and ISIA Firenze, as well as with Rifò-lab and Oxfam Italy fostering sustainable digital innovation practices.

Giovanni is thrilled by DREAM+PLAN's commitment to multidisciplinary action for real-world climate impact. The opportunity to learn from globally leading institutions resonates with his core belief: design isn't just about solving problems but reframing them through ecological and social lenses. As a designer-researcher, Giovanni sees DREAM+PLAN as the ideal catalyst to scale interventions that bridge sustainability, digital innovation, and community agency.
