DC5: Building Resilient & Future Proof Business Models in Technology SMEs.

Nida is a doctoral researcher and MSCA Fellow in DREAM+PLAN, employed at LUT University, Lappeenranta, Finland and co-enrolled at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia in a Double Degree Position.

Nida's Story

Nida's research focuses on resilient and future proof business models in technology SMEs. She aims to develop practical frameworks that help businesses achieve growth while contributing positive to environmental resilience.

Before starting her PhD, Nida worked as a lecturer, combining academic theory with practical
applications to inspire students. Nida has also been actively engaged in sustainability and climate positive research projects for several years, which has strengthened her commitment to creating
solutions that bridge the gap between research, industry, and policy. Nida's long-term goal is to
contribute to both academia and industry by advancing sustainable business practices and
helping organizations align profitability with environmental responsibility.

DREAM+PLAN is a prestigious EU Horizon research and innovation program, and being part of it is both an honor and a responsibility. Ever since becoming part of DREAM+PLAN, Nida has
developed a strong sense of belonging with the community.

What excites Nida most about being in the DREAM+PLAN Community is this personal connection: being surrounded by people who share the same vision of resilience and sustainability, and work together toward a purpose greater than ourselves. For Nida, it represents a way of giving back to the planet that we owe to future generations.
