
Ozod Kurbanov
DC3: Meta-Organizing SME's for Positive Impact.
Ozod is a doctoral researcher and MSCA Fellow in DREAM+PLAN, employed at LUT University, Lappeenranta, Finland and co-enrolled at RMIT University, Melbourne, Australia in a Double Degree Position.

Ozod's Story
Ozod Kurbanov comes from Uzbekistan—a country in Central Asia known for its historical cities such as Samarkand and Bukhara. He currently serves as the Head of the International Cooperation Department at the International School of Finance, Technology and Science (ISFT Institute) in Tashkent. In this role, he is responsible for developing and managing institutional partnerships, coordinating academic mobility programs, and facilitating joint research and educational initiatives with both local and international partners.

Since 2019, Ozod has also been a lecturer at ISFT Institute, teaching undergraduate courses in Communication Skills and Business Basics. His academic interests lie in bridging business theory and practice, with a strong focus on student mentorship and research supervision.
Ozod holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature from Uzbekistan State World Languages University. He later pursued and completed an MBA in Marketing through the University of Sunderland (UK), delivered in partnership with the Management Development Institute of Singapore in Tashkent.

Ozod's international professional experience includes working at EdMark International in Kuala Lumpur, where he was involved in marketing and corporate engagement during international exhibitions. He also gained early teaching experience as a classroom assistant at the British School of Tashkent, supporting English language learners and contributing to instructional planning and student development.
Ozod's PhD research will focus on the integration of ESG goals, management strategies, and entrepreneurship in small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), with a particular interest in sustainability and innovation.

He is fluent in Uzbek, English, and Russian, with working proficiency in Malay.
