Rihab's Story
Rooted in the vibrant cultural landscape of Rabat, Rihab began her journey with a diploma in architecture and urban planning before serving as a provincial planner and policymaker with the Ministry of the Interior in Morocco. Seeking broader perspectives, she moved to Belgium to complete a second Master’s in Sustainable Territorial Development at KU Leuven, graduating magna cum laude.

Over the years, Rihab has immersed herself in diverse research contexts, ranging from community land trust development in Belgium to participatory studies in South Africa and action based research in the Netherlands. Her recent work at Wageningen University & Research as part of the EU-funded SURREAL project focused on co-creating health interventions with ethnic minoritised youth, addressing social exclusion, stigma, and urban health.

Across all her work, Rihab strives to translate theory into practice by building frameworks that can be scaled and adapted to different contexts worldwide.

Rihab is also looking forward to developing strong networks with DREAM+PLAN fellows and partners, working together to co-create impactful solutions that can inspire and benefit communities across the globe.
