Thu Phan Nguyen

DC35: Blitz Change: An entrepreneurship 
challenge for societies

 

Thu Phan Nguyen is a doctoral researcher and MSCA Fellow in DREAM+PLAN, employed at Johannes Kepler University Linz – JKU, Linz, Austria & Co-enrolled at RMIT University in a Double Degree Position.

Thu's Story

Thu Phan is a PhD Candidate in Entrepreneurship at Johannes Kepler University Linz and RMIT University Melbourne. Her research focuses on entrepreneurial ecosystems, particularly the role of intermediaries such as incubators and accelerators in supporting startup development and innovation.

​

Before starting her PhD, Thu worked in trade promotion and international collaboration projects with government trade agencies including Enterprise Ireland, Enterprise Estonia, KOTRA, and the Ministry of Trade Kazakhstan, supporting technology startups entering the Vietnamese market.

​

During her MSc in Ireland, she also collaborated with BioBeo, an EU funded project to explore potential bioeconomy collaboration initiatives between Ireland and Vietnam.

​

Outside research, Thu enjoys retreat vacations, mindfulness practice, and learning about different cultures, histories, and civilizations.

​

I am excited about the DREAM+PLAN program because it makes my dream come true to pursue a PhD in my research interest in the EU and Australia.
